Join the Canton Amateur Radio Club for a look at this form of technology used for communication. Explore radio equipment and learn how people still enjoy this cool communication tool.
The Canton Amateur Radio Club will teach about a form of technology that allowed our grandparents to interact with like minded people. Today, people of all ages still enjoy this communications tool. It's used differently than when grandpa was a boy, however. Radio amateurs communicate with their voices; by exchanging images; and with a form of text messages. We make friends across town and in other nations with these tools. Radio equipment will be set up for your viewing and use. Adults will be on hand to explain how this magic has survived over generations, and how you (regardless of age or means) can become a part of it. All ages are welcome.
