Honor those who have served with programs and information about job, health, and financial resources. A special salute to Veterans will take place in the atrium at 11:00 am.

Schedule of Events    

9–11 am &
12–4 pm

Walsh University Job Skills: Representatives from Walsh University will work one–on–one with veterans to enhance job skills including writing a resume, interviewing, and more.

11 am–Noon

Posting of the Colors, Commemoration Speech with Veterans Recognition: A speaker from the MAPS air museum will provide a commemoration speech and recognize the veterans in attendance.

1–2 pm

Presper Financial Group: Representatives will give a presentation about budgeting, income sources, and some special benefits.

2–2:30 pm

Stark County Veterans Commission: Charles Zolicoffer, CVSO Community Liaison, will speak about financial assistance and medical transportation assistance.

2:30–3 pm

MAPS Air Museum: Director Kim Kovesci will discuss the MAPS Air Museum.

3–3:15 pm

Canton Vet Center Mental Health: Ray Wilson, Counseling Technician, will speak about the mental health services they provide to veterans.

3:15–3:30 pm

Ohio Military and Veterans Legal Assistance Project: Representatives will provide information on the low–income and Pro Bono legal assistance they give to veterans and current members of the Military.

3:30–4 pm

New Philadelphia VA Clinic: Representatives from the New Philadelphia VA clinic will share information on how to apply for medical help and what to expect in the process.

4–4:30 pm Salute to Law Enforcement and Fire Departments: Sgt. Hromiak from the Veterans Administration will conclude the program with a thank you to local Fire and Law Enforcement Agencies who provide for our safety, including VA Police Officers and Highway Patrol.
