Come hear Canton Historian Richard Haldi talk of the history of one of Ohio’s great public amusement parks.
Learn about Meyers Lake from its origin in the 1880s as an attraction to lure people to buy horses, to its heyday as a prominent streetcar/trolley destination with a zoo and a vaudeville theater, to its demise in 1974 when it was almost bought by Canton to be made into a local ‘Bicentennial' Park.
