Do you have eclipse fever? Come learn about the eclipse and ways to view it safely. We will then head out to the garden at 1:30 to witness the first total solar eclipse to cross the US in 99 years!
*While the program is full, anyone is welcome to attend starting at 1:30 to view the eclipse outside. Safe viewing glasses will be provided as remaining stock allows.
On Monday, August 21, 2017, a total eclipse of the Sun will be visible in the continental United States for the first time in almost 40 years.
The Space Science Institute (SSI) was awarded a grant from the Moore Foundation that will provide 1.26 million solar viewing glasses and other resources for 1,500 public libraries across the nation. These libraries will serve as centers for eclipse education and viewing for their communities.
